Watermark Images with Image Watermark Plugin in WordPress
Step 1: Plugin Installation
Go to Plugins > Add New. Then search for the keyword “image watermark” and click on the “Install Now” button.
Click on “Activate Plugin” to activate it.
Step 2: Plugin Settings
After activating the plugin, go to Settings > Watermark to change settings of the plugin.
On the Settings > Watermark page, there are four different settings available in this plugin.
General Settings
Under this heading, following settings options included:
- One can enable either automatic or manual or both watermark for the uploaded image.
- Watermark can be enabled for different sized images, i.e. full, large, medium, medium large, post thumbnail, thumbnail. Similarly, it can be enabled for either selected posts or exclusively for all the posts.
- Front end image uploading can be enabled.
- Settings can be deactivated. If deactivation option is checked, all the database settings will be removed on plugin deactivation.
Watermark Position
Under this heading, following settings options included:
• Watermark alignment can be set to 9 different locations.
• Watermark offset can be set for both the axes in pixels.
Watermark Image
Under this heading, following settings options possible:
- Image can be selected for watermarking.
- Watermark preview can be viewed.
- Watermark size can be set to original, custom, scaled. If custom is chosen, its size can be set in pixels.
- Ratio of watermark in relation to image can be set in 1 to 100 scale.
- Watermark transparency and image quality can bet set.
- Image format can be set to either baseline or progressive.
Image Protection
The most remarkable feature of this plugin is that it protects the images used in website. It has following protection settings:
- Right click on images can be disabled.
- Drag and drop of images can be prevented.
- Use image protection settings for logged-in users.
