Setup AccessPress Social Share Plugin in WordPress
Step 1. Install and Activate Plugin
In the first step, installing “AccessPress Social Share Plugin” can be done searching for “AccessPress Social Share” via “WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New” as shown below.
Step 2. AccessPress Social Share Plugin Settings
After installing the plugin, go to Dashboard > AccessPress Social Share and click on the AccessPress Social Share tab. You will see AccessPress Social Share Settings in your screen as shown below.
Basically there are Four main settings tabs that will help you to setup the plugin to work properly in your WordPress website.
Social Networks
In Social Network tab you can choose which social media icons you want to display in the frontend of your website. Here you can set the order of appearance of your social media icons according to your priority order by simple Drag and Drop function.
Share Option
Share Option help you to select the options where you want to display the social media share icons in your website. There are 6 option you can select as per your convenient.
Display Settings
In the Display Settings section you can customize the appearance of the social media share icons. You can choose the option to display the share icons below the content, above the content or you can choose an option to display in both below and above content.
Moreover you can select the themes for the sharing icons. There are 5 available themes from the plugin you can choose from in order to provide styles to the sharing icons.
Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous settings provides additional settings for the sharing icons. The additional settings includes setup the Twitter username, Enable or Disable the social share counter, Enable the share option either in new tab/window or in the same window. In the Cache setting you can set the cache of the social share counter in the hour format. Moreover the plugin provides the E-mail settings where you can enable the email settings and set up the email header and body part.
After completing all the setting, now click on Save settings button to save all your settings for the plugin.
Step 3. Adding Shortcodes for Share Icons in Post/Page
To create a new page, go to Dashboard > Pages >Add New and for post go to Dashboard > Posts >Add New. You can name your page or post the way you feel suitable. Here i have named the post as Test Post. Write some appealing content to your post. It’s a sample.
In the above post i have inserted the Shortcode [apss_share] provided by the plugin just above the content of the post. Now it’s time to publish the post. Click on the Publish/Update tag to see the social sharing icons being displayed in your post.
Step 4. Viewing AddToAny Share Buttons
After the complete configuration of plugin setting, you will see AccessPress Social Share Icons floating bar being displayed in your post just above and below of the post in your WordPress website like the image shown below.
