In this post, I will show steps to create Contact Page with Fast Secure Contact Form in WordPress.

Step 1. Plugin Installation

Go to Dashboard  > Plugins  > Add New  and search for Fast Secure Contact Form in the search box. Hit Install Now button and click on Activate to active the plugin. Once activated you’ll see new Form menu in your WordPress Admin Area like screenshot shown below:

Step 2. Create Basic Fast Secure Contact Form

Click on Dashboard > Plugins > FS Contact Form. You will be presented with a powerful admin panel.

There are tabs like – Basic Settings, Fields, Styles, Labels, Security, Advanced, Scheduling, Tools and Newsletter. In this tutorial, we will be only using Basic Setting, Fields, Security and Advanced Tab. Let add a new Form, as in the screenshot from the dropdown Select a Form, select Add a New Form for a fresh form.

The first thing you will see is the shortcode. Here in the screenshot above the shortcode is “[si-contact-form form=’1′]”. We will use this shortcode to place our form in our contact page.

In Basic Setting Section, give a familiar name for the form like “Contact Us”, “Contact”, etc. In the screenshot above, we have given “Contact Us”. In the Welcome introduction, type in the instruction for filling up the form for your users for example – “Please, fill in the form to reach me” could be a good instruction.

Scroll down and you will see Email Settings section as above screenshot. Enter the email address of the admin/author of the blog/website in Email To. If required, Add Bcc address and change the Email Subject Prefix which will be the subject of the contact form email. Most of the times you don’t need to change it. Click Save Changes button and we will move into the next tab Fields.

Click on the Fields Tab and you will see screenshot above. It’s cool that Fast Secure Contact Form has already configured, basic fields for us. Let’s add a new field, a File Attachment. Click on the Add New Field button at the top and bottom right of the screen.

Now, in a new screen, give a Label to the field (see screenshot above). We have given the Label as File Attachment:  and we select Field Type as attachment. There are fields like – text, textarea, checkbox, checkbox-multiple, radio, etc. (see in the screenshot above) that can be added to your form. Click Save Changes.

Step 3. Configuring Security and Advanced Option

One thing about Fast Secure Contact Form is – it has already configured basic settings required for a secured contact form. Therefore, I love this plugin.

Click on Security Tab, you can see that Enable CAPTACHA is already ticked. If you like to work with Akismet Plugin, check Check this and click “Save Changes” checkbox. Before that you have to get configure Akismet Plugin correctly, register you website in Akismet website using your WordPress Account and generate a Key.

Click on Save Changes and then click on Advanced Tab.  You will see the sections like – Confirmation Email Settings, Redirect Settings, Advanced Form Settings, Advanced Email Settings, Silent Remote Sending Settings and finally Data Exports Settings. Here we will only configure Confirmation Emails Settings.  I have typed in Must Be Web for From Name, noreply@mustbeweb.com for From and Reply To address, Email Subject as MustBeWeb Contact Confirmation. Then lastly, write short confirmation email message as shown in the screenshot above.  If you have any confusion, then you can click help.

Then click on Save Changes. Now copy the shortcode from the Basic Settings tab

Step 4. Add Form to New Page

Go to Dashboard > Pages > Add New to create a blank page. Give a title to the page as Contact Us or any. Here we have Contact as a title (see screenshot above). Paste the shortcode you copied; mine is [si-contact-form form=’1′] and click on Publish/Update to save the page. Finally, click on the Permalink below the title of the page to see our newly created contact page.
