Backup Your WordPress Site with BackUpWordPress Plugin
Step 1. Install and Activate Plugin
In the first step, installing “BackUpWordPress Plugin” can be done searching for “BackUpWordPress” via “WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New” as shown below.
Step 2. BackUpWordPress Plugin Settings
After installing the plugin, go to Dashboard > Tools > Backups and click on the Backups tab. You will see the Manage Backups page in your screen as shown below.
The Manage Backups page will let you select from all of your backup schedules. You should click on the schedule that you require. All your backups for the schedule will be listed in date order. Select the latest backup from the top of the list and click on the Download link to save it locally. Here i have made one backup schedule for both Database Weekly and Database Daily. The plugin will automatically backup your files and databases as per the specified time. But it also allows you to “Backup Now” anytime you want to.
The +add schedule section set up a schedule for the backups. You can set the Schedule (Manual Only, Once Hourly, Twice Daily, Once Daily, Once Weekly, Once Every Two Weeks, Once Monthly) as per your convenience to backup your files and database. Provide the number of backups to be stored on the server with your verified email address. After completing click on Done button to complete the new schedule which will be added on the Manage Backups page.
In order to backup your files and database click on Download button under Actions to backup your database to the selected folder in your computer. You can even delete the backup from your web server by clicking on Delete button.
When you click on Download button a Pop-Up box appears in your screen which helps you to download the ZIP file in the Downloads folder in your Computer. Select the Save File option and click on OK button to start the download.
When the ZIP file is completely downloaded go to Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Users > PC Name > Downloads and you will see your Database backup .zip file in the Downloads folder in your computer.
